I’m a mixed media artist in Chicago. I use my photographs as the canvas, then apply paint, pastels, colored pencils, and other media to complete my abstract works.

My work explores perception—the act of looking itself. I see my works, not as objects for conceptual analysis, but as portals into direct experience. In particular, I am interested in approximating the perceptual, often meditative, experience of ‘zoning out.’

By inviting the viewer into a direct experience with color, form, and light, I hope my works provide a visual vacation from the noise and chatter of everyday life.
